My Work (Production Designer) : 

So, diving into studio set design was a first for me. Yes, I've hung around studios before, helping out here and there, but never taking charge of creating a whole space for a script. This job really pushed me to flex my production design muscles.

Turning an empty studio into a funeral home? Talk about a wild ride! I had to get super detailed with pre-planning – figuring out where everything should go and how it should all fit together. And get this – we had zero amount for the budget since it was a student film. So, I scoured the prop room and scrounged up whatever I could find around campus.

The real challenge? Wrapping my head around what the script needed for the set and the actors' movements. It was like putting together a giant puzzle where every piece had to fit just right to tell the story.

Oh, and hauling in the furniture? Don't even get me started. Those shelves were heavier than they looked!(especially for me lol) Thankfully, I had a ton of help from other departments to lug everything in and set it up.

But you know what? Despite the sweat and heavy lifting, seeing the set come together and elevate the story made it all worth it. It's crazy how collaboration and a bit of creativity can turn a blank canvas into something truly special. I am most proud of this work of mine as a production designer.
