Director's Statement :

This project was my second time stepping into the director's chair for a script and story that I didn't write up with myself. Usually, I'm all about that deep dive into my own stories, knowing every nook and cranny. But diving into someone else's world brought its own bag of challenges that I wasn't fully ready for again. 

One of the major challenges I faced was the on going script changes. The script kept changing, evolving right up to the day we were shooting, up until the moment we took the shot. The updates and edits were the best for the story but it was the worst on set for the me and the crew. We tried out best to stay up to date with the new edits to the script and were constantly tweaking our plans, trying to keep up with the flow to make the best out of our ability which is why I truly adored this crew. 

While directing, I rode a wild emotional rollercoaster for the first time. Spending months deep in the script and story, I ended up walking in the character's shoes, going on a personal journey myself. Sometimes, I got so caught up in their struggles, both on and off set. This had its ups and downs. On the upside, it helped me figure out how to bring the right emotions to the screen and connect with the audience. But on the downside, it hit me hard emotionally, slowing down my ability to adapt to new changes quickly. Each shift in the character's emotions became a hurdle, making it tough to let go of the past and embrace the character's new direction.

Dealing with these hurdles directly really forced me to step up my game. Navigating through all those script adjustments helped me become more adept at connecting with the actors, pulling off performances that truly resonate. Even though it was a rough ride, I'm emerging from it with a stronger sense of confidence in my directing abilities, geared up to take on whatever wild stories cross my path next.
