Director's Statement :

I embarked on the journey of creating this documentary following a profound experience on Christmas Eve. Departing from my usual place of worship, exhausted from a day of customer service work, I went to a nearby church renowned for its typical catholic choir. As I immersed myself in the unfamiliar surroundings, the music and atmosphere sharply contrasted with the youthful energy of the choir I had once been a part of.

It was during this unfamiliar mass, as fatigue overcame me and I drifted into slumber, that a vivid dream unfolded. In that dream, I found myself collaborating once again with the youth choir. Upon awakening, I interpreted this vision as a powerful sign, a calling to craft a documentary centered around the vibrant youth choir. Determined to bring this vision to life, I tirelessly pursued contacts until I finally reached Mary, the choir's leader.

In proposing the documentary idea, Mary's response echoed a divine affirmation. She revealed that she had contemplated disbanding the group after seven remarkable years, aligning seamlessly with my dream and reinforcing the belief that this project was destined to be.

Having been a founding member and photographer for the choir in its early years, I harboured a deep connection. Although unable to rejoin due to my demanding dual-job schedule, I recognised the documentary as an opportunity to both raise awareness for the group and preserve its cherished memories as it faces closure in the near future.

This documentary transcends mere storytelling; it captures the essence of love and faith within Christianity. As a nostalgic journey, it reflects the beauty of the choir's journey, serving as a timeless keepsake for both the participants and those who bear witness. In every frame and interview, the documentary encapsulates the genuine spirit of the youth choir, ensuring that their legacy endures beyond the bittersweet farewell.
