Director's Statement:

I carefully made this special song as a key part of my Thread Sequel, drawing inspiration from my characters, Mia and Ammy, whose emotions flow through the song. I created the song to add more depth and meaning to the trilogy's story (now a sequel) The lyrics are crucial in the films, giving the audience a captivating look into the characters' lives, especially for those who want a stronger connection to the story.

In the music video's story, Mia goes to a fancy ball where she meets Edward, the man who's infatuated with her and later ends up with her in the third and final part, 'Thread: Found Us' (which is now cancelled). While dancing with Edward, Mia thinks about her maid, Ammy, whom she danced with in the second film for rehearsals, 'Thread: Just a Maid.' Mia's mixed feelings unknowingly make Edward fall more in love. The mix-up at this ball causes issues for the second film, which were supposed to be resolved in the third film. 

This music video was a challenge; we originally decided to film it for equipment rehearsals the day before the shoot. However, I wanted the music video to be a visual bridge between the second and third film, which was going work well with the trilogy, but unfortunately, due to the third film being cancelled, it doesn't serve the meaning I intended. Still, it adds extra layers to the story for the audience interested in knowing more about the characters and their story.

I also decided to choreograph the dance to the lyrics. Many times, Mia and Ammy switch roles to show equality in their relationship. The actors and I rehearsed for just a day, and they managed to perform it in one take for the music video—an amazing performance from them! The whole video is based on just one shot, with no cuts in between. The black and white scenes show Mia's unhappiness with Edward, while the colours come to life when she imagines and dances with Ammy in the field, going with the metaphor that rainbows represent LGBTQ+.
