Growing up in Goa, I was really influenced by 'Tiatre', the local Goan musicals. I’ve loved stories and art for as long as I can remember, and as soon as I got my first phone, I was hooked on photography. When I moved to the UK, being away from my culture led me to drama and media at school to fill that creative gap. Then I discovered filmmaking, and in that moment, I knew it was the path I was meant to follow.
Heading to uni, I was set on directing – it was the only role I knew inside and out. But once I was there, I got curious about all the other roles in film, so I stepped away from directing and tried my hand at everything. It was eye-opening; I gained a real appreciation for how each role plays its part in making a film work. Through it, I learnt what I’m great at, where I struggle, and I made friends who still teach me things about their side of the craft. It’s given me a solid understanding of the whole process, and I came out of uni more confident than ever that directing is where I’m meant to be.
Since then, I’ve been focusing on directing and production design, bringing my own vision to each project. The rest, as they say, is history – so have a browse through my site and enjoy!
