Melfin Pereira is a London-based filmmaker of Goan origin who has quickly made a mark in the film industry with her captivating storytelling and unique vision. Melfin graduated with a First Class BA(Hons) in Film Production from the University for the Creative Arts at just 20 years old. She has since demonstrated versatility and creativity by writing five short films, directing nine short films, one documentary, and one music video. Her music video Thread of Fate (2024) also received significant accolades, solidifying her reputation as an award-winning director. Recently, she has expanded her portfolio by directing spec commercials and continues to explore new creative avenues.
In addition to directing, Melfin is a skilled production designer, contributing to numerous indie short films and art department projects. She excels in set design, location dressing, and prop making, carving out a niche for herself in the field. Her hands-on experience in production design complements her directorial work, adding depth and authenticity to her projects.
Melfin's work is driven by a belief in the transformative power of love, which she sees as the foundation of humanity.
